I don't know how friendly I actually am, but I guess the rest is true. Sinuses are still killing me and today there were people jack-hammering across the way. From when I got home at 130 until after 4. And out of the three of them not one knew how to properly use the jack-hammer. Thus 3 hours to get rid of one step!! You Are a Talker |
![]() You are a naturally outgoing and friendly person. People interest you, and you love making new friends. You are a very open minded and enthusiastic person. You see the best in others, and you're always rooting for them. You always have something to talk about. You ask a lot of interesting questions, and you know how to tell a good story. You are the least socially awkward person you know, and you can make the best of a weird situation. You have an amazing sense of humor. |

SInuses are KILLING me. Maybe I'll have something to say tomorrow. You Are Intense Yet Happy |
![]() You are a pretty tightly wound person. You can be extremely passionate and dedicated. And while you definitely have a lot of intensity, you don't take yourself too seriously. You still have a good time. Whoever first said "Work hard - play hard" was thinking of someone exactly like you. That's pretty much your personal motto. You never do anything half way. You always go full force - whether you're working or having fun. |

Happy Easter!
Wishing all my friends, family and their friends and family a Blessed and Happy Easter. I'll be going to sunrise Service, then out to breakfast. We'll go to lunch at my mom's and dinner at Curt's dad's. So I won't be on until maybe much later today.

New Hope, Robiin spoilers
Curt and I went out to Bucks County,PA. A place called Peddlers Village has great little shops and restaurants. It's only a little over an hour from us, and Curt wanted to spend a day with just the two of us. I didn't really buy much. But it was fun just browsing all the shops with him. I did buy the first Christmas present to put away for this coming holiday. Paper made from elephant poo for my sister. hee hee hee hee. We'll see just how green she really is. LOL! I also bought a red glass dragonfly for Angie ( her track and field nickname is the deadly dragonfly, and her team colors are scarlet and white) I got a new shortbread mold and a much nicer pastry cutter than I currently use.
Another type of daff started blooming in my garden. Also one very sad hyacinth that is missing half its flowerettes.

Here's a closeup.
The nupps are the budlike swirls at the end of the rows of beads on the left side of center. (not the horizontal beads in the leaf motifs) I really do love it otherwise. The bottom of the picture is a "wicker section" which I really enjoy.
Here's a picture that is more true to the actual color of Robin.
As I mentioned earlier, I had breakfast with Grace on Friday. And if she doesn't relapse again we will have lunch on Thursday. It's been 2 months since we've gotten together, and I didn't realize how much I've come to rely on her to bounce ideas off of, or get knitting advice from. She brought me pressies!! A skein of "garnet" sock yarn from dreamscape threads in all shades of red, a sock pattern she got with a club ( I haven't convinced her to go beyond those itty bitty keychain socks) a cozy book, and a giant jar of honey ( yum) Had some with tea this afternoon. I also bought one of her shawls to use as a gift for someone who hinted at a handknit gift, but I really am not close enough to to stop my current projects for. If anyone is looking to buy an amazing shawl, check out her blog on the left margin - lovin comfort knits.

I'm done with clue 2 on my Cotton Fine Robin. There were three bobbles in clue 2. I really, really don't like bobbles. I did them in my shoshie shawl, but I really think they look like the fur on a matted cat that needs some serious grooming. I think I started a mini-revolt in the robin thread. Sharon gave an option to use contrasting beads, which I may try for my stormy robin, but I didn't want to use them for the cotton. I had breakfast Friday with my friend Grace ( after 2 months!) and as she is the shawl guru, I asked her about it. She suggested nupps, which is an Estonian stitch ( according to google anyway) The nupp has a similar look but is much flatter. Here's my robin so far:

You Are the Queen of Hearts |
![]() To call you passionate would be a total understatement. You have quite a temper. You put fear into the hearts of everyone you know. You are easy to make angry, and once you're angry, you may do or say anything. You love vengeance. You don't like to be crossed. And while you can't say "Off with their heads!" when people make you mad, you wish you could! There are a couple hobbies you're passionate about (perhaps croquet?), but even those can be sullied by the stupidity of others. |

Just a quickie post to say thank you to Juleeque for an awesome caffeine swap.

She overdyed the yarn with coffee! and then Wilton food colors!

This week we will answer some crazy questions brought to you by Kimber, the color of cooked crab, and the number 544.
1. It's the first of April, do you play April Fool's jokes on anyone? If I told you that and then the hypothetical person read my blog they would hypothetically be forewarned wouldn't they?
2. Do you like to eat sardines?Fish in cans = cat food. I am not a cat. before anyone tries to get technical with me - I get my tuna either A. at a sushi place or B. in a pouch!
3. Have you ever played racketball? My brother plays racQUETball. He's gotten hurt. Seriously that rubber ball packs a whallop. Me - the only ball I hit with a racquet is a tennis ball.
4. If eating at a fast food joint that has a dollar menu, do you order a bunch of different dollar items or just go ahead and get a regular meal? I don't really do fast food. I will if traveling mostly, get the spicy chicken go wrap from Wendy's, Had something last fall from Burger King, had a roast beef from Arby's a few weeks ago. I don't do fast food fries. Seriously, when I was working out about 15 years ago there was a thing showing how much oil a large order of fries absorbed. And it was like an ice tea glass of dirty grease. Yuck. Haven't done fries since.
5. Have you ever taken a brand new pencil and sharpened it in an electric sharper until it was almost gone just because you were bored?Yes.
6. Do you have any old broken computers still sitting around your home?2, but in his defense - Curt is the Network Mgr at work and is attempting to salvage info off of them.
7. Ricky Martin came out this week stating he is gay. Were you shocked, had a feeling, "who?" or just didn't care?DUH!!
8. If marijuana is legalized, do you think it should have a luxury tax added onto it?I'm just very against it. A friend of mine was killed by someone who was stoned out of his mind and driving home. So if they tax cigarettes and beer they better tax the hell out of pot. ANd put in serious DWS(toned?) penalties.
9. What's the oddest thing you have sitting on your computer desk right now or where ever it is you may be sitting with a laptop (you could be sitting at a Starbucks with an alien from Mars for all we know)?A voodoo doll.
10. Have you ever bumped into a former lover and found out they were now gay or straight depending on your relationship with them?Once I dump a guy, I either remained friends or really haven't seen them again. I could understand ruining them for all other women, but I have faith that they managed to power through. PS - I do not believe you can"turn" a person one way or the other.
11. Have you ever held a tarantula? OH HELL NO!!
12. Shower- curtain, door, walk-in, or do you just roll around in the dirt to get the stink off?Shower door and curtain, however I find that the water that comes out the showerhead combined with the shower gel I squirt on a puff and clean myself with do a better job than the door or curtain.
13. Which commercial is the most annoying to you on TV or radio? I find the talking pot hole annoying, I know there are others that annoy me more, but I have a pretty skilled talent of ignoring that which annoys me.
