If you are from NY, please follow this link to knittywytch's blogs. This is preposterous!! If the state is collecting child support from "deadbeat" parents the state is imposing a service fee on the RECEIVERS!! I really think if a person isn't paying support to the point where the state is garnishing wages, the deadbeat parent should pay the resulting fees!!1
