I got my new phone

I got my new phone today!  It is awesome!  I got the HTC Incredible.  It is incredible.

You Are Australia

You are friendly, laid back, and casual. Not much gets under your skin.

You are an open book and very easy to talk to. You always have a great story to tell... you've been on many adventures.

You are highly independent and a bit of a loner. You have carved your own path in life, and you don't have many who want to join you on your voyage.

You are energetic and focused. You like to be productive, and you like to keep moving. You love being outdoors.

Not a Sheep

You Are Not a Sheep

You don't follow the crowd. In fact, whenever it's possible, you try to avoid the crowd.

You don't like blending in, and you are a complete rebel. Being like everyone else is boring.

You are a distinct individual, and you're definitely on of a kind. People probably consider you to be quite quirky.

If anything, the herd ends up following you. And you find that to be highly annoying!

Walking in Memphis

Welcome to the April 27th version of Thursday Thunks!
(which we always seem to post on Wednesday)
Where we make you think a little bit before you blog!

We pick a subject, and your job is to interpret it anyway you want.
Write about it on your blog... simple as that.
Maybe you can interpret it as a picture - we don't care!

Please only leave a link if you have written a Thursday Thunks post.
Please mention us in your post, and link back to the blog
here.
Don't forget to go visit the other participants' blogs.
Read and comment about all their Thursday Thunks responses!
That's what all this is about after all, isn't it?
We'll have so much fun and become lifelong friends....

The TT questions are brought to you by Bud, the color of KC's hair and the number 33.

1. Robins have red breasts. Why are their eggs blue?  Well the one and only time I ever got a sunburn ( they mean it when they say avoid the sun while on antibiotics- and going on a whale watch cruise is not avoiding the sun)  mine were red, and curt wasn't getting near them, so his cajones were turning blue too....

2. The doorbell buzzes at the same moment the phone rings. Who was on the phone?  So this is a trick question.   I don't answer my home phone - all the calls go to the machine, and I'll eventually listen to them.  If you want to talk to me you need to call my cell, so I can answer while walking.  AND  I don't answer the doorbell unless I'm expecting someone.  So that scenario would never happen.

3. It seems that there are several very popular memes each day of the week. Which meme did you first become a regular of?This one!  Actually, it's still the one meme I do regularly.

4. It is about time that Berleen and Kimber meet in person. Should we start a collection to fly one of them to the other, or just hope Thom's bus and get from Hawaii to Kimber in Arizona and take her to Berleen in Minnesota? ok, I'm going to be a brat and point out - that  I don't think without one hell of a snorkle, Thom's bus is going to make it to the mainland.  Unless he drives one of those amphibious duck buses you take city tours on?  I think the better plan would be for all of us (including Berleen and Kimber) should fly to hawaii and hang out at Thom's house for a week!

5. Tell us about your pets. Do you have one that you wish would run away?  N/A

6. What was the last thing colored red that you wore? Right now, my socks, panties, bra and tank top.... oh and my toes!

7. I have a train that runs by where I live several times a day. I actually find it peaceful. What's the longest journey that you have taken by train? about 45 minutes, to NYC.  I would love to take the train with the observation cars from Chicago to Seattle.

8. If Kimber threw a five dollar bill off a building that was five stories high, and Berleen threw a twenty off a build that was six stories high, who do you think would find the money? Not me, I'm not a city person, so I wouldn't be around a bunch of 5 and 6 story building.

9. If reincarnation really happens, whose life would you like to know that you have already led? Cleopatra?  Atilla the Hun? Catherine of Russia?  A Tortuga bar wench during pirate days?

10. What are your three favorite possessions? My Tony Stewart collection, my yarn swift, my laptop.

11. A lot of people still believe that Elvis is alive. Have you ever worn blue suede shoes? Do blue cowboy boots count??

12. Do you have siblings? If yes, are you anything alike?  My brother and I used to be very much alike.  We even look alike.  But after he moved to California, he became way laid back, drinks wine instead of beer ... ugghhh.. My sister and I?  It's a stretch that we are of the same species let alone the same family.

13. Has anyone ever asked you to strip naked and cluck like a chicken? There are some things I'll never tell.  To this question I'd have to say NO.

I've actually won TWO blog contests! Robin Spoilers

Seriously!  I'm considering grabbing a lottery ticket.  FIRST  I won a contest on my friend Diana's blog.  Diana is an extremely talented knitwear designer.  I won 5, yes 5 of her patterns.  Check out her designs if you're a knitter  otterwise  And her blog is here.
If you're wondering I got: Wild Cherry Bark Mitts, Corydalis Cowl, Winter Bud Cowl, Catseye Socks and Kiva bag.

Thank you so much again, Diana!!

The second contest was this past weekend on my friend Thom's blog.  He had a birthday contest for Quilly.  We had to guess her birthweight.  I guessed Angie's weight ( at birth not now!) and while she was smaller than Quilly, I was the closest so I won!!  I got to pick any internet giftcard.  So I'm getting a Knitpicks gift card ( so I'll have the yarn to work up Diana's patterns. LOL!

Thank you so much again Thom!  I really have fun with your blog every day!!

I  finished clue 3 on Sunday ( too bad clue 6 comes out on Monday) on my Stormy Robin.  I think I'm going to try to catch up on the Cotton Robin- since it will be more practical with summer coming up.  And once I'm caught up then work on the stormy.  It is going to be 32 degrees tonite!!  My tomato is coming inside so she doesn't freeze.  It's almost May!  I want my plants done already!!

So here is the cotton Robin after clue 3:

The yarn is not quite so yellow.

Swap Knitting

As promised, all three of my swappers received their packages today so I can show you what I sent.  First of Daniela really went all out when I was the member of the month in the dancing dishcloth swap, so I wanted to send her a really special package:

dancing dishcloth

In addition to her square, I sent a co-ordinating skein of yarn, some flying sheep stitch markers, some bamboo yarn, a jersey girl chocolate bar, and a half a pound of coffee from my favorite knitting meet up.

Then I was in a square and seed swap.  My swappee had mentioned bears and deer were a problem, and she really wanted to grow some herbs:
 square n seed swap

So I sent  2 herb growing kits - complete with container,  gloves, a garden themed pad set, a clay earthworm that changes color when it's time to water, a watering can pick, more coffee and chocolate.

FInally I was in a hockey fan swap with a fan who rooted for 5 different teams!  So I made her mitts that she can mix and match to get the team colors of the team she was rooting for that day ( after I mailed it I was slightly worried she might not see that as funny but see it as stupid)

hockey swap

She had listed her fav yarn colors as green/blue,autumn colors - this yarn is predominantly blue and green and is called autumn!  She doesn't drink coffee or tea (gasp) so I sent a penguins water bottle ( they are one of her teams)  she likes chocolate covered pretzels, so I sent her 3 from Gertrude hawk, penguin pencils and because she listed crosby as one of her fav players - a crosby card & penguin zamboni.

You Should Smell Like Lemon

You are honest and real. You don't shy away from being yourself, even if it's a bit hard to swallow.

You are refreshingly truthful and direct. You do have flaws, and you don't even try to hide them.

You are happiest when you are around people who truly get you. It takes a while for you to make a stranger a friend.

You have a very unique personality. You have a dark sense of humor that only certain people get.

Yes I have been knitting again.

This past week, I have been able to stay awake and knit again.  I think the sinus infection has finally passed, although I am still drinking my herbal "witch doctor" tea 3 times a day.  I cast on a new pair of socks with some yarn that my friend Grace gave me the last time we met up for breakfast.  They are in my car, as I have been working on them on my lunch at work.  At some point, I will bring them inside to take a picture.  I made 3 projects for swaps, but as I only mailed them out yesterday afternoon, I can't post a picture until my swap partners receive their packages, so as not to spoil the surprise.

I started working on Robin again,  I had finished clue 3 on my cotton shawl.  I am now working on clue 3 on my stormy shawl.  I will then work clue 4, first on the cotton and then on the Stormy.  Clue 5 came out this past Wednesday, so I am 2 clues behind.  I am considering doing Clue 4 and 5 on the cotton so one shawl can be caught up, but I am a bit nervous that if I get too far ahead on one, the second will start to languish and turn into an UFO.

Anyway, no knitting pictures today, hopefully by Tuesday I'll have some pics for you.  In absence of knitting pic's I'll give you this:

For those of you who aren't race fans - Talladega is THE track to party in the infield and there are t-shirts sold that say " Obnoxious Talladega Race Fan"  I told my father in law that he committed the ultimate redneck heresy.  He and my husband are bowling singles and doubles in the Essex county bowling tournament.  This runs for a few weekends and you sign up for time slots.  HE SIGNED CURT AND HIMSELF UP FOR THIS AFTERNOON.  DURING THE RACE!!!  Seriously how am I going to turn Curt into a proper race redneck like me if his father does things like this???  F1, Rolex and TransAm are fun but not as good!!

You Are Trashy

You are a wild child, and you're proud of your crazy antics. At least you keep it real.

You know how to be the center of attention. Even if that just means people are pointing at you!

You don't worry about being classy. Anyone who cares about manners is boring and uptight.

If someone tries to tell you to mind your manners, you'll probably just burp in their face.

Vertical Garden / Living Wall

I had been reading about "Vertical Gardens" or "Living Walls" on the internet, since they had been brought to my attention in my gardening group on Ravelry. ( Yes, a group of gardeners who also knit and/or crochet on a fiber arts network site.)  Curt and I  decided we could make one.  Originally we were going to make a 4' x 6' garden.  Good thing we went down to 2' x 4'.  We would have had serious difficulty moving it if it were 3 x the size ( and 3x as heavy!)

So first we built a box.  waLL  The box has a back of 2' x 4' exterior grade plywood and the sides and center piece are 1" x 4".  We added the center piece for strength and stability, and to act as a brake so the potting soil wouldn't all sag down to the bottom.  We then painted it with solid stained wood protector and waterproofer.  After that dried we  used 2 layers of 4 mil plastic stapled into the inside of the box - including through the drainage holes and the watering holes up top,

We then filled it with moisture control potting soil mixed with perlite.wall  We added more potting soil than the photo shows to "overstuff" the wall.  After the soil we covered the box in sheets of sphagnum moss.

Then we set the plants on top to try to arrange them. wall  We decided that we needed more plants as well as another package of moss to cover the bare spot you can see there.  So we went down to a different nursery than we b0ought the other plants from last week, and found some different kinds of plants ( the 2 yellow flowers - Erysimum were from Home Depot )  And we ended up with this.wall

Then once we covered the soil with the moss we stretched some large opening chicken wire fencing over top and stapled that on ( the plan is the moss and the plants will eventually cover the wire)  Then came the time consuming task of cutting pieces of wire so we could plant the plants in the box.  We then partially watered it, so it would hopefully remain stable while we moved it into place.  We had gotten 2  10"windsor wall stones that have a little lip which normally would point down to lock a wall together.  We put it up so that it acted like a lip for the box to rest on so it wouldn't slide.   The box is not perfectly vertical but leans on a slight angle.  It rests on the stones so it is not sitting in the dirt.  It is on the left side of the garden wall for 2 reasons. 1) it will get more sun there ( all the plants are only partial sun and the ones on the bottom prefer shade)  2) It would have been really really hard to get the box to the other side!

So here is the finished box:
vertical wall

When you want something in life, you'll just go for it.

You're never afraid of taking the plunge, even if there's risk involved.

You don't shy away from speaking up or speaking your mind.

You live life as it should be lived: with total enthusiasm and no fear.

Flowers-

I just wanted to show you some shots of these "Angelique" tulips.  They are double petaled and the petals are sort of streaky pink.angelique They also have more than one flower "stalk " per plant. angelique

I also have these daffs that have 2 or 3 flowers per stalk.double daffs?

Now that the flowers on the right have opened all the way - I love the purple "halo"  around the center.

You Are a Wildflower Garden

You are a true free spirit. You want to go wherever life takes you, and you feel like plans kill the mood.

You are low maintenance and laissez faire. You believe that whatever will be will be, so why try to change it?

You love colorful things and colorful people. It's hard to find anything that's too wild for your tastes.

You're too laid back to be a total wild child, but you've definitely had your crazier moments!

High up on the rooftop - look! A falling crayon!

The TT questions are brought to you by Berleen, the color of peanut butter cups and the number 10.

My oldest demon (aka Demon #1) is in Oklahoma! The musical this weekend. Yep, my kid is a drama geek. Have you ever been in a play or musical? Were you in the drama club in high school? I built sets for 4, designed them for 2, was in a bit part and/or dance corps for all 4 years of high school - you really don't want me singing though!

You are walking down the road and the cops fly by you and stop at the house just a little ways down the street. It's the way you were going to go... do you take a detour to avoid it or do you just keep walking because, hey - you had the idea first! or do you walk by out of complete curiosity?I'd probably cross the street , and check it out when I walked by.  I wouldn't be part of the "gathering crowd" however.

I drop a green crayon from the roof and Kimber drops a yellow one - which one will grow wings and fly before it hits the ground? My husband and his bowling teammates ( including his dad) have this running joke that if someone performs badly they are up on the roof the next morning.  So I'll be sure to ask my F-I-L as he was the last one "up  on the roof"

What is the first section of the grocery store you go to? And I know that sentence doesn't sound right, but I don't care. Well, you walk into the produce section.  And I usually need some ( even when I hit the farmer's market)

Do you like questions that have a yes or no answer or do you like to actually think for yourself and come up with something original? Yes or No can be boring.  And I've attended to many sales and management seminars where they drill the "ask open ended questions" theme into your head.

The wall directly in front of you... whats on it?  The tv/entertainment unit.

Sea salt?Is this one of those yes/no questions - like is there salt in the sea?  or is it asking whether or not I use sea salt in my food?  The answer to that is yes.  Coarse sea salt in a grinder - also a jar of french grey sea salt (hey Bud - do the twins use this stuff? it's kind a pricey)  and a piece and shaver of pink himalayan sea salt.  By the way- aren't the himalaya's mountains - where does the sea fit in?

420. You know what it is. It's a time, it's a day, it's a way of life. Did you celebrate yesterday? How can I put this?  I'm definitely not naive.  I had a whole assortment of pothead friends in high school.  But my abuse of choice is alcohol.  Mostly beer, the occasional rum, whiskey or tequilla.  Until my daughter was picked for the random drug test ( all athletes, club members, and kids who have on campus parking privileges are subject to the random tests) on the 20th and found it very ironic.  She then  had to explain what 420 meant so that I would understand the irony.  Le sigh.

Can you read a tape measure?I used to install floors for years.  I then did measures for Depot for awhile. Now I knit - all things that use tape measures!

The city/town/village that you live in... it's population is.....????
25,244 in 2004.

If a laptop fell out of the sky do you think you could catch it? And if you did, do you think it's Finders Keepers? I'm pretty sure it would either knock me out or give me a concussion if it didn't kill me.  Because i don't wander around staring at the sky.  Of course if we could figure out who dropped it, I may be able to sue and buy Apple!

Driving down the highway, driving down the interstate, driving down a dirt road that you are sure goes absolutely nowhere... whats the longest distance you have ever driven in one trip? 1400 miles - north Jersey to outside Dallas /Ft Worth.

How many licks does it take to get to the center of a tootsie pop?I'm a biter. Put something in my mouth and I'll suck on it for awhile but sooner or later I'm chomping down.

mysterious

You Are Mysterious

You are a puzzling person to both strangers and friends. Often your actions seem to contradict each other.

You don't mind being complex, though it isn't something you necessarily strive for. You just are complicated.

You follow your heart, and often times your heart is divided. You don't tend to act consistently.

You believe that people can change, and you're good with that. You certainly change weekly - if not daily!

Curt is NOT a mindless drone!!

My father in law has this image of the relationship I have with his son.  He thinks my disturbed brain comes up with "cockamamie" ideas and his son  just blindly follows along.  I've said that in reality that image reflects poorly on him, as it would imply that he raised a mindless drone!  (Mind you my father in law and I get along amazingly - although those around us probably wish we didn't get along quite so well)  The truly sad thing is I've become able to predict the ideas that will draw this opinion out of him.

Recently, I've been reading / seeing pictures of "Living Walls" or vertical gardens.  They intrigued me.  I showed Curt some of the sites I looked at.  So WE decided it would be cool to try to build one - or two.  WE thought it would be cool to put one up against the side of the brick behind the rosebush, and fill it with succulents.  We originally thought about making one 4' x 6'.  After going through several nurseries and the local hardware store as well as Home Depot, we decided to make 2 that will be 2 feet wide and 4 feet high, and lean back about 10 degrees off of vertical.  We are using 2" square wire cloth - that we can cut the holes bigger where we need.  We also got sheet moss that we will put over the soil to hold it in.  And while we were at Dering's Nursery, we bought 9 succulents to start with:

There are different versions of hens and chicks, in light green, blue green and reds, and I'm not sure what the reddish on in the bottom row is. And the martian looking green/yellow two on the bottom right.  They are all perennials, so if it works the planter should be good for the future too.  We are also going to mix in some kind of flowering plants as well.   The reason we are using the moss sheets instead of burlap or weed block as we had initially thought is that, we needed something the "hens" could shoot a chick up through.  At some point in the next several weeks, I should have pictures of the completed planters.

Waiting - impatiently for warmth

We  had a few really warm days a week ago.  It really switched my brain over to my plants.  I bought a patio tomato plant.  She was just so pretty sitting there.  But as it was only 38 degrees last night a little too cold to put her out on the balcony, so she is currently making a home on my window sill.   I'm going to have to repot her this week so she doesn't get rootbound.  Then if it doesn't warm up, she'll have to live in front of the sliding doors.  It's not as sunny there though.  But I should be able to put her outside during the day.  The problem with that plan is that I leave for work at 330 am.  And the two sleepy heads I live with are bad at remembering things like that.

This weekend, when Curt and I went up to Ledgewood ( Ledgewood Farms - a year round produce store - took over the store next to them, and added an amazing fresh - very fresh, fish market and sushi counter)  we stopped at Dering Nursery.  And I couldn't resist some color.  So I bought:
The yellow will be the tallest, the orange daisy will be kind of short and the orange that isn't quite open yet is a trailing plant.  They will all bloom all summer long until the frost, so they make great plants for my front steps.  Here they are all planted in their urn:
I also bought a variegated Jacob's Ladder for the front garden.  It will have flowers, but I don't know exactly what they'll look like:
I like the leaves though, and it is such a happy looking plant.  It's a perennial so it will be back next year as well.  I like perennials, because they keep coming back,  the ones I've purchased are good for partial shade, since my front garden faces west with the building blocking the morning sun, and the steps blocking some of the afternoon sun as well.  It's a small area, dominated by a tall out of control rosebush, and I only put a few punches of annual color.  Here's how it looked this afternoon. The daffodils are done and the tulips are just barely starting to open. ( I have the double petaled tulips with bloom a bit later - but the pink ones are called Angelique, so how could I NOT have them?)  The hostas are starting to poke up, the mums- which I decided to leave in last fall are about a half inch tall, the montauk daisy (fall bloomer) is already almost as tall as the plant I put in last fall, so this fall it will be huge!

You're Fun Cute

People find you cute because you're easy going and naturally content. You are truly happy.

You are a soothing influence on others, and you forgive people for their mistakes. You don't expect perfection.

At times, you can get a little too passionate about the world. You care deeply about animals and the environment.

Once you get on your soapbox, it's hard for you to get off. People understand where you're coming from, and they find your passion endearing.

The TT questions are brought to you by Berleen, the color of daisies and the number 0.

Got your taxes done? Got them done in January.  Owed money to the state, so that one got mailed this morning.

What do batteries run on? DO you really want a chemistry lesson?  SOmehow I think you don't.

What do chickens think we taste like? A meat eating chicken??You know that's how Mad Cow disease started?  And I think a meat eating chicken is called a velociraptor or something - so human would taste like... grog?

What do they call a French kiss in France? Foreplay?

Why is lemon juice made with artificial flavor and dishwashing liquid made with real
lemons? I go through about a dozen lemons a week - so my lemon juice is made from lemons.. The question I have is what is lemon pledge made from?

How many times is it appropriate to say "What?" before you just nod and smile because you still didn't hear or understand a word they said? As someone who has a partial hearing loss,  I'd say twice.

I hate when I just miss a call by the last ring (Hello? Hello? Darn it!), but when I immediately call back, it rings nine times and goes to voice mail. What did you do after I didn't answer? Drop the phone and run away?  Well if it's my mom, she turned off the phone - why leave it on so you can call her back?  If it's my daughter she's on to her next call.  If it's C- he's started his truck and won't answer until he parks again.  If it's my father in law- he's waiting to see how many times you'll try to reach him.  My husband will text so I don't call him back.
the rest of the world can call me back later.

So Mel Gibson left his girlfriend - think he's finally heard of me? I love a lot of his movies - I don't consider him all that sexy.  And he's a weird kind of religious - never works out good from the female perspective.

Why do they call it "getting your dog fixed" if afterwards it doesn't work anymore? In my opinion - a male dog that tries to hump you, and a female dog in heat, and with a period is broken, so fixing them fixes them.

Are you bothered that I didn't number these? Until I read this question - I numbered them.

Bud must have really wanted to do the meme this week... he emailed me before I even had a chance to remember it was Wednesday! Way to go, Bud! Love ya...
These questions were inspired by the late George Carlin. His quotes are in bold. They were gathered from his routines. The TT questions are brought to you by Bud, the color KC's eyes and the number 3.

1. Why do they ask you to get on the plane? Shouldn't you get in it? When was your last flight? My last flight was last summer.  I definitely prefer riding in the plane as opposed to on the plane because I don't want to be out there with him: Ok I was going to post a picture from the twilight zone episode but this is funnier!

2. Why do they call two planes getting too close a near miss? Shouldn't it be a near hit? Have you ever been on a plane that was in trouble? True story, when I was in college I was flying down to my uncle's place.  My stuff was already down there, so all I had was my pocketbook, and brand new - got for my birthday parachute.  I was going skydiving with my cousins.  The lady next to me noticed the colorful bag and asked about it.  I (honestly) told her it was my parachute and she freaked out.   Ooops, my bad...

3. If a mute swears, does his mother wash his hands with soap? What have you done when your child sweared? First I must confess to having a potty mouth.  And if I'm mad it gets worse.  Now for the 19.5 years I've been working for HD,  receiving has always been my "happy place"  One time when I was really venting,  I hear a voice from the dock going - hey watch your mouth - there are teamsters back here!  That being said, I tried really hard not to curse in front of my daughter.  At least until she hit high school.  Once in the while she lets one slip and I just look at her and raise one eyebrow and she gets all apologetic and says I meant darn.

4. How about a restaurant for anorexics? What would you call it? The Empty Plate? When was the last time you went out to a fancy restaurant?  I think the Empty Palate would work better.  Fancy shmancy is not really my style,  And I can't actually think when I have been last.  I did go to a great place - Peddlers Pub last week.

5. Where do forest rangers go to 'get away from it all'? What to you do to get away from it all? Definitely somewhere with no picinic baskets!  I go skiing - nothing more soothing than the sounds of your skis swishing through the snow as you carve down the mountain.  And if I'm lucky enough to go powder skiing - you can barely hear anyone else. It is the best way to destress!

6. Why do people who know the least know it the loudest? What do you do to get a know-it-all to shut up?If someone knows the answer to this I want to here it!   I have a very sarcastic streak, don't care what people I don't like think of me, and am very good at on the fly sarcastic one line put downs.  It doesn't win me friends, but the stoopid usually go away.

7. If a man speaks in the forest and there is no woman to hear him, is he still wrong? Men: does your woman (or most recent) think that you are always wrong? Women: Do you believe that men are always wrong?Did you not read my answer to #6?  BUD,  I expect more from you!  Actually, since the majority of my really good friends and my bff ( mikey comes home in 22 days yay!) are boys, I am obliged to say that not everything that comes out of a boys mouth is wrong.  And that if you get an infinite number of monkeys and an infinite number of typewriters and an infinite amount of time eventually one of the monkeys will produce a Shakespeare play, that correlates to if you take an infinite number of men and an infinite number of talking, eventually one is bound to say something right.  Me - I have better things to do!

8. If a turtle loses his shell, is it naked or homeless? Tell us about a time when you were caught naked.  I forgot my brother and his friend were crashing in my LR, and I woke up a bit late for work and ran to the kitchen to start the coffee.  The light woke them.

9. Would a fly that loses it wings be called a walk? How badly do flies annoy you? First flies are bugs.  Bugs bug me.  Flies like walking on poo and garbage an then on your plate.  I seriously need a pet chameleon on other lizardy things to eat bugs.  I used to have a cat whose personal ( felinal?) mission was to rid the world of bugs.  Alas he died before he could finish.  Now as long as he wasn't in his fly makeup - Jeff Goldblum can come play any day!

10. Why do they report power outages on TV? When was the last time that you went without power? Knock on a wooden utility pole - the longest I've been w/o power was 4 or 5 years ago when lightning hit the transformer Right in front of my LR window but it was fixed in about 6 hours.  I remember there was a  huge east coast blackout several summers ago.  I had power and watched people trying to get out of NYC on tv in my air conditioned LR. (They never zoomed in enough for me to find my sister in law though)

11. If vegetarians eat vegetables, what do humanitarians eat? Have you ever been or considered to be a vegetarian?
            People
                    Eating
                      Tasty
                        Animals
MMMM steak!

12. If the cops arrest a mime, do they tell him he has the right to remain silent? Tell us about a time when either you were arrested or came close.  Bad as I have been, never been close to getting caught by a cop, except maybe when I used to be into cops and would go out trying to pick them up....

13. Why isn't there mouse-flavored cat food? Have you ever owned a cat?  I love cats.   The only reason I never got another after my last one passed is because with all the travel we did for my daughter's dance competitions it wasn't fair to have one and never be home.  I keep telling her now that she's gonig off to college, I'm getting a cat to live in her room so I won't be lonely.  At one point when I was in high school I had 5 cats.

If there had been mouse flavored cat food , I probably would have bought it for them!
