Welcome to “Sensational Haiku Wednesday!”
Click here for info and background on this weekly event!
The basics:Haiku is simple! It is 3 non-rhyming lines of 5, 7, and 5 syllables respectively (a great way to use your fingers!)
This week’s theme is: Doldrums
August afternoons,
Hot and humid air feels dead,
Just don't want to move!
While searching for the proper images for my poem I came across a crochet pattern for this:
I'm not the greatest crocheter - especially from charts (funny really I love knitting charts) but I think I'm going to try to make one of these!
Such a true haiku! Good luck with the crochet :-)
ReplyDeleteCan you send me that pattern? I should try to make one for my mom. She collects snowmen.
ReplyDeleteLoved the haiku and image to go with it. I agree with you all the way. Lovely crochet. Good look on the project.
ReplyDeleteThis was splendid! just loved it. The haiku and the picture you added with it- both are fantastic.

I could use a hot August day right about now! After 10 years in the desert and 3 years in Hawaii, this long gray winter has got me down.
ReplyDeleteWhat I wouldn't give for a hazy august day right about now!!!
ReplyDeleteL.O.V.E that melted snowman!!!!!! I'd love a copy of the pattern too - care to share?! I don't crochet, but ShaMoo does, and I bet she'd love it.
