We had some crazy weather over this past weekend. It rained cat's and dogs, with some serious high winds. In my neighborhood some people lost power due to trees going down. I had 3 brief ( less than 2 minutes ) power blinks, just long enough to cause the cable box to reboot. I live on high ground - but just a couple miles away the river runs through a neighboring town.
The area where I work got hit even harder. A large number of people in the surrounding towns had to be evacuated by boat. On the side of route 80 on my way home I could see houses with water up to the second floor windows.
Wow that is some awesome weather I tell you. Glad you live on high ground :) Happy St. Patrick's Day to you and your family :)
ReplyDeleteDebb lives close by me and works by the Hanover Home Depot Took her over an hour to get home on Monday and took Tom 2 hours, for him the only way into Parsippany at 5 that night was up 287 which was full to Boonton and then in over GreenBank, its a mess the downed trees are unbelievable through the knoll golf club and on greenbank.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you're ok. Thought about you when I saw reports of all the awful weather up there.
