With Angie away, we decided to be lazy and not go to the fireworks (cool thing about the towns around here, they have fireworks on different nights- One year we went to 5). From our front door we can look over the tree tops and see the fireworks that Dover shoots up at their football field.
Yes- I take horrible slow pics - I used to be able to hold my breathe and do it, I need a tripod now.
So while we were waiting for the fireworks to start, we lit a lantern and grilled some flat iron steaks , baby potatoes and heated up some left over breaded, fried garlic green beans. Yum. It was really nice just the two of us, relative quiet, cold beer, fire.
How wonderful and lucky to get to go to so many. I enjoy them so. Tonight's the big night. Happy 4th. Aloha :)
ReplyDeletesounds so nice, we can see Montville's from our dining room window, wish we had a balcony!
ReplyDeleteSounds like the perfect romantic night.
ReplyDeleteSounds great to me and if I could sit on my deck and look over the tree tops at such great fireworks I don't think I would go out to look. I did not get to see any this year own city quit doing fireworks a long time ago.
