None of Your Business

Welcome to the July 21st edition of Thursday Thunks!
(which we always seem to post on Wednesday)
Where we make you think a little bit before you blog!
We pick a subject, and your job is to interpret it anyway you want.
Write about it on your blog... simple as that.
Maybe you can interpret it as a picture - we don't care!

Please only leave a link if you have written a Thursday Thunks post.
Don't forget to go visit the other participants' blogs.
Read and comment about all their Thursday Thunks responses!
That's what all this is about after all, isn't it?
We'll have so much fun and become lifelong friends....

The TT questions are brought to you by Bud, the color of Jill Hennessy's marriage certificate and the number 33,333,333.   A SPECIAL THANK YOU TO BUD, FOR SAVING THE THUNKS THIS WEEK!! (I DON'T REMEMBER THAT WORD THAT THOM ALWAYS USES, AND I'M TO LAZY TO INVESTIGATE, SO IN HONOR OF THE FRENCH TWINS) MERCI!!!

1. What is the most common question that you are asked (in life) that is none of the questioner's business? I used to think it was if you aren't Spanish what are you.  ( I really don't think I look Spanish, the people who guess Hawaiian are equally wrong but probably closer) But even if I was of Spanish descent - the DNA would not give me the ability to speak the language!
But, like I said this USED to be my most annoying question.  Recently there has been a huge rash of people who think it is appropriate to ask me why I only had one child.  They then continue with  couldn't you have anymore children? Like stopping at one was a biological decision.  Or don't you like kids?  Then there is always the " don't you feel guilty that when you are gone she'll be all alone?"   Seriously people!! Only child, Angie is an only child. Get over it.  If we are close enough for you to know I will eventually tell you.  If not, leave me alone!

2. Who makes you happiest right now? It's a close tie between Curtis, and not Curtis, so we will go with Curtis.

3. Would you consider yourself to be spoiled? I think that a lot of women living my life would not consider themselves spoiled.  However, I think I am.  Curt lets me be myself.   Pretty quirky.  At work, kind of by default since they kinda need me, I pretty much get to be me.

4. Do you want to be famous one day? SInce I would more likely to be infamous than famous, the answer is no.  Seriously, I'm a jeans, barefeet and beer girl,  designer dresses, heels and champagne not my style.  So famous - no.

5. Could you handle being in the military? Not sure.  I can give orders.  I can make sure my orders get followed.  I can take orders from someone I respect.  Someone I don't respect, not so much.  Not sure if I have the kind of discipline that would lead to success, Little known fact, I got into West Point.  But at the time, women were not allowed to have the jobs that help one get promoted in a timely manner unless it was in the medical field.  I really battled myself, but in the end declined.  I then started rooting for Annapolis.

6. Do you believe in Karma? I think if you believe in Karma, you can unconsciously affect the outcome of an event.  I think you can look around the world and mean, selfish, evil people enjoy continued success and have luck just fall in their lap.  Kind, generous caring people suffer setback after setback.

7. What’s the stupidest thing you ever did with your cell phone? Dropped it in a pail of water.

8. Who knows a secret or two about you? I'm pretty much an open book, because seriously there are very few people who I actually care about their opinion of me.  And those people know me well enough that I really couldn't fake them out anyway.  But my BFF knows all, has heard everything, knows my personal inner struggles etc.

9. Who is the most experimental person you know? Depending on your definition of experimental, My father in law is the most "Mad Scientist" person who I know.  Don's the most  "frankenstein" experiment I know.  Dennis was the most "60's" style experimental person I know.   Sal definitely the most "sexually" experimental person, Mikey the most global culturally experimental.... ok most of my friends have brains from test tubes what can I say?

10. Last thing you did that ticked off your S/O (or if not in a relationship) most recent S/O?  Let me start by saying that most of my friends are men, most of the people I need at work are men, and um yeah Curt is a man.  So, not necessarily consciously, but not exactly unconsciously either, rather than just blatantly ask for something that I'm pretty sure will be answered with a yes anyway, I do this "Puss in Boots" look pretty please?
( from the first or second Shrek movie, Puss holds his hats and looks up with these huge eyes) that I seem to think will sway them in the yes direction.  Curt knows I do it, but gets really, really pissed when I do it to him instead of just coming out and asking him to do something.  Like I did when he got home WEdnesday, and after he helped me he went off and was pissy.

11. Have you ever purposely been irritating to someone? If yes, explain. I can sometimes be highly passive aggressive.  Sometimes I just decide to irritate someone who annoys me.  I guess the answer is yes, so often I can't really explain one instance.

12. What's crazy to you? Being a Dale EARNHART JR fan???  Second would be trying to be what you think other people want you to be.why?

13. Who (other than the three of us TT writers) writes the most interesting blog?  That I read regularly would have to be Thom at Thoms Place... ( see link on side) followed a close second by Grace's Loving comfort... ( see link on side)

  3. Thom does do a great job. I was really pissed when Kimber posted that "See you next week" thing. I joined them to avoid that. So I had to call her. Thanks for the shout out!

I've gotten rid of the word verification for posting comments. To tell the truth, I have trouble reading the new stuff they are using. Feel free to disagree, but spammy or obnoxious comments will not go up.
