Sensational Haiku Wednesday
Sensational Haiku Wednesday

Welcome to “Sensational Haiku Wednesday!”

Click here for info and background on this weekly event!
The basics:
Haiku is simple! It is 3 non-rhyming lines of 5, 7, and 5 syllables respectively (a great way to use your fingers!)

This week’s theme is: Wish(es)

Find a magic lamp

What would your three wishes be?

Desires granted.

World peace? Cancer cure?

Kill prejudice and hatred?

End Global warming?

I really have doubts

A genie or someone else

could really grant those.

Good health for loved ones?

True happiness for our friends?

Be altruistic?

Would selfishness reign?

Ask for shallow vanities?

With no real meaning?

A million dollars?

A supermodel's body?

An immortal life?

Three wishes can tell,

The person we really are,

What we most value.

  2. Instead of saying, "Be careful what you wish for, you just might get it," we probably should be saying, "Be careful what you wish for, because it will reveal who you really are." Hmmm...

  3. These days - my wishes and my needs are streamlined ... I will have to ponder this a bit more!! Wishes are also a fun part of daydreaming and letting the imagination run free ... hmmm, what would I choose? :-)

I've gotten rid of the word verification for posting comments. To tell the truth, I have trouble reading the new stuff they are using. Feel free to disagree, but spammy or obnoxious comments will not go up.
