Welcome to “Sensational Haiku Wednesday!”

Click here for info and background on this weekly event!
The basics:
Haiku is simple! It is 3 non-rhyming lines of 5, 7, and 5 syllables respectively (a great way to use your fingers!)

This week’s theme is:Pathways

Walking through darkness,

Branches brush against my cheeks,

Calm and peace at night.

Looking through the woods,

A crushing , beaten walkway,

I'll never take it.

Give me a sharp scythe

A cooler with beer and lunch,

I beat my own trails.

  1. WOOT!!! I'll join you with your last one. Excellent my friend :)

  2. Love this! Calm, the beauty of nature and beer. Balance :0) Victoria

  3. I love how you end this series of haiku!! What a great visual; great job!!

  4. I might not take the pathway either I am a chicken at heart LOL

  5. Very visual! That first one wouldn't instill calm and peace in me though - I think I'd be quite the opposite!

    Excellent :)

  6. I have always preferred building my own paths, too! Our themes do match!

Sorry that I am late this week. I had a migraine and using the computer (or my eyes) was just out for a couple of days.

I've gotten rid of the word verification for posting comments. To tell the truth, I have trouble reading the new stuff they are using. Feel free to disagree, but spammy or obnoxious comments will not go up.
