The basics:
Haiku is simple! It is 3 non-rhyming lines of 5, 7, and 5 syllables respectively (a great way to use your fingers!)

This week’s theme is:Pathways

Walking through darkness,

Branches brush against my cheeks,

Calm and peace at night.

 

Looking through the woods,

A crushing , beaten walkway,

I'll never take it.

 

Give me a sharp scythe 

A cooler with beer and lunch,

I beat my own trails.

    Very visual! That first one wouldn't instill calm and peace in me though - I think I'd be quite the opposite!

    I have always preferred building my own paths, too! Our themes do match!

    Sorry that I am late this week. I had a migraine and using the computer (or my eyes) was just out for a couple of days.
