Sensational Haiku Wednesday

Welcome to “Sensational Haiku Wednesday!”

Click here for info and background on this weekly event!
The basics:
Haiku is simple! It is 3 non-rhyming lines of 5, 7, and 5 syllables respectively (a great way to use your fingers!)

This week’s theme is: Freestyle

Closing my eyes I

can feel the heat of your breath

but you are not there!

Closing my eyes I

want your warm embrace to be

real not fantasy!

Closing my eyes I

want my memories to be

real in life again!

Opening my eyes

I know I am lucky to

have loved before loss.

  1. This is beautiful. It is wonderful to be able to love. :) Very well done my friend. Has something happened recently? I do hope you are well and this is just a reflection of something in the past :)

  2. This time of year makes me remember a teenage love/crush. He passed 2 years after graduating West Point.

  4. Poignant and a bit sad. Love lost but we are different for having known it.

I've gotten rid of the word verification for posting comments. To tell the truth, I have trouble reading the new stuff they are using. Feel free to disagree, but spammy or obnoxious comments will not go up.
