Ramblings from a Lunatic Mind
RiA what a great message. Anyone that observes Lent or those that don't can really respect this! I keep askin my boos if I can give up work for Lent she says she'll consider it when I become Catholic! LOL
Lent is about Christ's sacrifice for us. He gave up his life. How incredibly selfish of us to equate that with giving up chocolate. On the other hand, I am not certain most of us (myself included) could really handle 40 days of Christ-like sacrifice.
Interesting take on the Hope theme at this time of Lent. Have you given up anything? My hubby has given up chocolate :O)
I enjoyed your verse -- good message. :)
Lenten observations can be, well, kind of hopeless exercises...unless... (and I leave it for every reader who goes on this journey to fill in the blank with something hopeful!).
I've given up eating haggis for lent. (like I'd eat it anyway...)Nicely tied into the date!
I've gotten rid of the word verification for posting comments. To tell the truth, I have trouble reading the new stuff they are using. Feel free to disagree, but spammy or obnoxious comments will not go up.
