Off-Season VJGC afghan update
Purple 26 square
Had to make a 41 ( Bobby LaBonte's new ride)
Red/yellow garter square
The purple/green square is going to need some serious blocking!
So as of now, I have 11 large squares and 4 small squares. I need a total of 20 large squares and 8 small squares, so I'm over the half-way point right now. I think I'm going to work on the 4 black/white checkered squares next. i haven't decided how to make them yet. I also attempted to graph a square for the 14. I used knitting graph paper, but as I'm not that good at following charts ( actually I'm terrible) we'll see how that goes.

You can do it. I use a pencil and dot the squares as I go. Starting bottom right, going right to left and left to right. I also put arrows to which way I am going and P or K by the arrow to keep track. Or I do duplicate stitch. You can do it. Double sided tape helps keep track of where you are as well. I can't wait to see it.
ReplyDeletei need to get knitting on mine.
ReplyDeletethere's knitting software that may be able to help you with the 14. i'll message you about it.
Lovely squares! I especially like the purple one - great colour! Well done, you're making great progress on them; good luck with the rest :)
ReplyDeleteLooking Great! Amazing progress. Thanks for the update, it increases the anticipation of seeing the finished afghan.
